Celebrating 50 Years of Mercedes Success

It's no secret that we love the Mercedes-Benz brand. In Santa Rosa, we're known as Mercedes experts, and it's not just because of the shop. We keep up. Lately, we've decided to start sharing some of the most interesting news we can about the brand, as well as brag a little bit about how much we know about it. As a company that has made Santa Rosa its home for the last 30 years, our hearts go out to the people in our community that share the same love of the brand as we do. An oldie, but a goodie from the Mercedes site, we were reminiscing about some of the shows we've been to and came across this old article from '14. Mercedes Plug-in Hybrid Takes a Page from Tesla

LONGER RANGE, MORE POWER, WE HAVE OUR EYES ON THE NEW MERCEDES HYBRID. The third-generation hybrid transmission evolved on the basis of the 9G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission. The S-Class family growing, and the latest edition is something we're really excited to try, the new-generation plug-in hybrid. The Mercedes S560e has an approximate all-electric range of 25 miles. The S560e Sedan debuted at the 2017 Frankfurt International Auto Show in September and is expected to go on sale in the U.S. in mid-2019. Plug-in hybrids represent a key move towards an emission-free future for the automobile industry, and will greatly shape the next 15 – 30 years. The power electronics for the hybrid are now being housed in the engine compartment. What’s Up with the Mercedes AMG Puddle Lamp?

Making sure people see your Mercedes emblem has just jumped to a new level in the latest Mercedes AMGs with their new puddle lamps. Some are different than others, but we're sure you know a few people who take pride in their car's emblem and how prominently shown it is. (Lookin' at you, Gary.) Well, the latest from MotorAuthortity.com says that Mercedes-Benz offers a giant lighted star for the nose of its vehicles, so the ‘look-at-my-brand game' will be even louder. Mercedes-AMG is taking badging decals and lighting options a step further by refining its own puddle lamps. Testing 'Intelligent World Drive' on 5 Continents

Mercedes-Benz is really making their mark in 2018 – but it's no surprise. Their innovative technology has been the driving force behind their brand for decades. We've been keeping up with the latest in self-driving Mercedes – and it looks like “Intelligent World Drive” will be tested on 5 continents. 5 CONTINENTS IN 5 MONTHS. The vehicle is similar to the S-Class and took flight at the International Motor Show (IAA) and will complete its tour in January 2018 at the CES in Vegas. The goal is to put the vehicle through a variety of different and complex driving scenarios. The road to autonomous driving is long, but Mercedes is nearing the finish line. From Germany, this Mercedes then had test drives in China, completed its tour in Australia in November, takes on South Africa December, and then right back to the states.
